Blurb: Misty

If only networks could pace the amount of good dramas to broadcast, my Kdrama viewing life would be set. However, we know that shall never happen on a consistent basis 🙂

So, on a rather quiet evening, I perused the backlog of dramas that have premiered but didn’t get a chance to watch (and assess its worthiness to invest my time). I saw Misty, with one of my fave actors, Ji Jin Hee, in the lead role.

OK, this could be promising…

Go Hye-Ran (Kim Nam-Joo), a popular anchorwoman for a prime time news show and her husband Kang Tae-Wook (Ji Jin-Hee), a public defender may exude the “Power Couple” persona. Hye Ran had worked tirelessly in the past to achieve what she has in the present, and is determined to portray the veneer of success when it comes to her marriage. From the first episode, it was evident she had another man in her life who truly cherished her, and the story pans out at the predicament of that past at the bottom of the hour. As the credits rolled, my jaw (which dropped multiple times) and my mind was abuzz.

Oh.Mai.Gad. This drama has GRIPPED ME 30 minutes into Episode 1 o_O

Of course there are characters included who you are just itching to bitch-slap (because you have probably seen such persons in real life) and know they will definitely mess up with your life plans. And this person is introduced to us in Episode 1 as well.

All I’m saying is, by the end of Episode 1, your heart rate is likely to increase, your eyes staring at the screen and your mind replaying the mantra “Oh my Gawd this drama IS IT! DAYUM. And it’s only the FREAKIN’ FIRST EPISODE!”

So, with cautioned heart, I delved into Episode 2 of Misty, quietly praying that the astounding reaction I had previously wasn’t a fluke.

Yarobun, I have four words for you: GO. WATCH. IT. NOW.

Wishing a wonderful Chinese New Year to all who celebrate!
